DAOC Portal Account Changes

DAOC Portal Server entries now need an associated DOL forum account to allow edits.

To do this make sure you are logged into the forums, go to the server detail page by either finding your server on the server list or by using the find server feature.

At the top of this page you will see a section named Manage This Server, enter your DAOC Portal username and password, the ones you use on your Server List Update script and press Submit.

Now you are set as a manager for the server and instead of the box for the username and password you will see a link to edit your server.

These changes are aimed at making it easier for you to edit your server information as you no longer have to enter a seperate username and password every time you want to edit a page. It also allows people to see who is associated with what server.

ok, little confused...
i have been trying to enter my edited forums url web page...
no luck...
i put in the server description user name and password and it either put me in a loop and brings me back to forums login or brings up an error message...Cannot find a server by ID a8243407de020d10bd6bb39345fe7f9d!

server is: Raoc Beta 1.95+

From the DAOC Portal site, I went to the server list, your server was there, I clicked on it.

Your server page is http://portal.dolserver.net/?page=server&sid=170

At the top of this page you can see that no forum account is assigned to manage your server, I'm guessing that will be you.

At the top you will see a username and password form, enter your DAOC Portal info for your server there, the username and password from your ServerListUpdate script and press submit.

Great, your now managing the server, you should be able to update the information you need.

ok, i see the problem i was having i was pressing the lower submit button instead of the one below the login portion...sry for the trouble all working now.
